Round bowls come in 350ml (12oz), 480ml (16oz), 1000ml (32oz) and 1500ml (48oz), and square bowls in 1000ml (32oz) and 1500ml (48oz), with bagasse or clear PET lids. Bagasse is the fibre left after sugarcane is pressed for its juice. It is moulded into a rigid, one-piece bowl. Bagasse bowls and sugarcane bowls are the same product. Our bagasse products are certified compostable to EN 13432 and/or OK compost standards. The PET lids for the square bowls are not compostable. The round 1000ml and 1500ml bowls are about 76mm deep, while the 480ml is wide and shallow at 40mm high.
Kraft bowls are PE-lined kraft paper and usually take a clear lid, so the food shows. Bagasse bowls are moulded fibre and take a fibre lid, or a clear PET lid on the square bowls. Compare materials in our bagasse vs PLA vs CPLA guide.
