Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Policy

Element has a significant advantage over many organizations when it comes to creating and sharing our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Policy. We are a young company, founded in 2015 by Adam Petyt and Rohit Belani in London, UK to assist both UK and USA-based companies improve their sustainability through environmentally friendly packaging.

Our company started with a positive perspective, orientated towards a greener future based on employee engagement, external partnerships, and creating a positive societal impact in addition to ‘making the numbers’ as measures of success.

Once engaged, Element’s analytics can also provide investors, lenders, and rating agencies greater visibility of both financial and non-financial metrics to better understand diverse social and environmental risks we are addressing but also to identify potential growth opportunities.

Key to Element’s new way of thinking is the ability to combine our outward facing sustainability communication and proactive messaging with an inward facing analysis, measurement and reporting of our management and disclosure of ESG factors.

We have commenced the capture and verification of our response to existing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) priorities but plan to build this out to include strategies, behaviours and business transformation initiatives that identify, address and offer solutions to challenges that sections of society are facing.

Element’s training programmes includes a substantial ESG element to ensure that our organisations commitment is embedded in our DNA.

Our ESG journey has only just begun but already we have already created an iterative process and this, combined with our existing data capture, storage, retrieval, and reporting capability, provides a robust platform from which to determine our strategic priorities and direction as our organisation grows.
